Windrunners hear the same voices of the Dragon whispering all kinds of "what if " scenarios but they don't fall down on the track of life. They may take a stutter step or two before regaining their stride but then race on. Fear and worry do not spoil the run of their lives. They claim Phil 6-7 : "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." (note it doesn't say bodies) and they know the truth of John 14:27 "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid" The Windrunners know that truth because they have given the Lord a chance over and over again to prove Himself, to show up and to answer their prayers. They have PEE, personal experiential evidence that He does.
STEP 1 - PRAYER
I used to read scripture, go to church and pray but I sure didn't have the faith of a Windrunner and I sure had little if any PEE. I discovered from the WR that my prayer habits were different from theirs. While I prayed regularly it was only 3-4 times per year and only for really big stuff. They prayed 3-4 times before lunch and about all kinds of stuff.
While I was praying for my son to get into medical school they were praying for the right words of guidance for a temperamental daughter, enough gas to get to get to work, an effective relationship with a coworker, the solution to a work problem and a ride for grandma to a doctors appointment. The difference was not in the virtue of my prayers or theirs but in the number of chances we were giving God to intervene and the length of time we would wait to get the answer. I had to wait 6 months for 1 answer and they often had 3-5 answers before noon. Sometimes we are confused and don't know whether the outcome is serendipity or is of God. Sometimes we are pretty sure it is God and other time it is a slam dunk certainty that God has intervened. And if you pray only 3-4 time per year you may only get one slam dunk/yr. Not much to build an arsenal of PEE.
As you can see in that example I only had 1 prayer to analyze in 6 months whereas the WR had 6-8/day X 180da/6mo = nearly 1500 prayers . Some of them were slam dunk certainties which they added to their PEE fortress. It can take months or years to fill your storehouse. But the more PEE one accumulates the more certain one can be that whatever worry you take to Jesus will be addressed by Him, in His time and in His way --which He promises will be good. Then you can let worry go.
