BV5: WHERE DOES THE HOPE THAT PRODUCES VICTORY COME FROM?

Words of hope come from the history of God's provisions for the Hebrews but the REAL POWER OF HOPE comes from God's provisions for each of us personally. Words of promise on a page of scripture, and even historical evidence of God's provisions are not enough to fortify most people in the midst of cancer. Only personal experiential evidence (PEE) that God keeps His promises is enough for most people. At least that is what I learned from those who triumphed over cancer. I called them the WINDRUNNERS because even though they face possible or even certain death they still ran their Bell Laps with grace, purpose and joy. They were still assailed by the Dragon's deceitful fire breath whispering : "What if? What if? What if?" What if the cancer comes back? What if I miss our on ... ? What if there is pain or disability ? And on and on. Often in the middle of the night or in between times when something else is not demanding our attention.

I wondered how they could quiet or ignore those whispers that were often shouts. Sue told me she change the question and asked " What if Jesus is who He says He is? What if His promises are true? What if Heaven is every thing scripture says it is. What if He will always be at my side and will enable me to endure whatever I face and at some point take me home - to HEAVEN? 

We can all ask those questions but we have to have 2 things in order to find any solace there . We need to know Jesus promises as recorded in scripture  and then we need PEE that He keeps those promises.
