It is clear that healing is for all and seeking it is His invitation. Indeed, prayer is not a suggestion, it is a command:
"For I know the plans I have for you" declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." Jeremiah 29:11-13
Is anyone of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. James 5:14
Prayer brings us to the feet of Jesus to receive healing, but it does not dictate how and when Jesus will do that. s Dr Keefauver surveys forty one examples of Jesus healing to show the relationship between faith and healing, and the simplicity of his methods: by a touch or a word, by being touched or simply letting His healing flow. There is no elaborate ritual or stylized formula used or needed. Examination of the relationship between faith and Jesus' healing miracles reveals the critical need for us to understand why He heals, when He heals and who He heals. Only that knowledge will yield the peace that comes with healing and dissipate the strife that accompanies the many myths about healing that have grown up both inside and outside the church.
