Think of worry as your PRAYER ALARM. Let it trigger prayers that can stop worry in it's tracks - at least temporarily. By just knowing you have recruited the Jesus & the Holy Spirit into your problem: sometimes for a fix, sometimes for strength to endure, and sometimes just for mercy.
The mercy cry is for God to treat us according to His plan not according to what we deserve and not necessarily a rescue from our calamity, although that may be His plan. Rather seek first and foremost mercy as an enablement to be in the center of His plan. We may end up in the lions den with our focus on the lions while His focus is on us and what He plans to accomplish in us and through us. He wants to teach in those watching us something about how God's people deal with the fear of the lions.
